Nerd Nights - May 2023

Each month 3 of your fellow community members, will give a talk on a STEM topic.  Think TED Talks but more casual ! 

May Lineup:

1. Shashi Shekhar - Future of Spatial Computing - Shashi Shekhar is a distinguished McKnight University Professor in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota and author of the MIT Press essential knowledge book on Spatial Computing - a guide to the ideas and technologies underlying such applications as GPS, Google Maps, Pokémon Go, ride-sharing, driverless cars, and drone surveillance.

 2. Joe Delgado - Preceptis Medical/Hummingbird Ear Tubes - Most of us know of someone who has needed inner ear tubes due to persistent ear infections. This MN company recently invented a cool new device that makes those inner ear tube placements available in the doctor's office with local anesthesia, making it much easier on those kiddos! 

3. Corbin Fonville - CEO SkillQuest - Helping gamers go from zero to tech career - Skillquest is a local startup dedicated to teaching gamers how to code by building engaging projects around esports, and then leveraging that portfolio into their first tech job.

6:30-7:00pm - Arrive and mingle

Presentations/Talks start at 7pm, with 15-20 mins for each topic.
