Why it is mathematically impossible to tune a piano - Aarya Batchu, International School of Minnesota We often think about music as having an “objective” or “mathematical” way of telling whether you’re pitchy or in tune. But the reality is a lot more complicated than that, and nature clashes with humans’ desires for perfect, complete systems. learn why jazz requires us to sacrifice mathematically perfect harmonies, why other cultures use different ideas of tuning and uncover the mystery of the math behind the music.
