For more than four decades, renowned advocacy organization People For the American Way has inspired and mobilized Americans to defend freedom and justice. With this action kit, they share their wisdom and empower all of us to actively participate in our democracy.
The Art of Saving Democracy: An Action Kit for Making Change features art from Roy Lichtenstein, Shepard Fairey, Carrie Mae Weems, Beverly McIver, Vincent Valdez, Cleon Peterson, Deborah Kass, and more, and includes a foreword by Jamie Lee Curtis. Alongside the art, it’s packed with practical tools to help everyday Americans participate in strengthening democracy—with tips on how to contact our representatives, write and place op-eds, protest safely, and harness collective power.
