About the event
Krista Groff has taught Math at all levels - from elementary to college level! We met Krista when she was teaching middle and high school Math at our Kids' school - The International School of Minnesota. Krista has recently retired from full-time teaching and is looking to follow her passion for helping kids discover the joy of Math!
She found that what she loved best about teaching was not so much following the curriculum but getting kids excited about Math, getting them to see just past that little hump so they could feel the thrill of understanding. Explaining concepts in a way that relates to their everyday experiences. Getting kids to actually enjoy Math as much as she does.
We are beyond thrilled to host Krista at The Thinking Spot for your 1-1 Math tutoring needs.
To give you a feel for her style and so you can see for yourself if Krista can help your child, we are offering *Free* half-hour sessions on two days - Sep 26th and Oct 10th. Sign up for a 1/2 hr slot anytime between 3-6 pm on either day and come to meet Ms. Krista and see how she can help your child rediscover the joys of Math.
Details about the longer-term schedule and pricing will be available at these initial sessions.
Math levels - Elementary through pre-calculus.
