Science Read In - June 5

Explore the wonders of the natural world, one page at a time. Bring your favorite science book or current read (nonfiction, scifi, poetry, novel, biography… the world is your bivalve mollusk!) and spend time reading with fellow bookworms.

Amid challenges to scientific funding and research, your presence is more than just reading—it's a quiet statement of solidarity for the pursuit of knowledge that shapes our world.

No discussion required—come for the joy of reading about black holes, climate change, archeology and more in a cozy communal space. Seating will be first-come, first-served!

We will have quiet reading for 45 mins followed by read-alouds/open-mic for anyone who wants to share a favorite paragraph or two from their book or share why science matters to them.

We will end with a short trivia on quotes from scientists!
