Independent Book Store Day 2023

Independent Bookstore Day (IBD) is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April.  Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. But in addition to other fun stuff, there are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day. Not before. Not after. Nowhere else.

Schedule of Activities :

10:30 am - Meet with Getty the Reading Therapy Dog. If you're nice enough, she may let you read to her, and if you promise a treat she may even perform some tricks. Meet this much-loved, gentlest of dogs and start your day out with a smile.

11:00am - Storytime and book signing with Author Amanda Henke, find out why bunnies shouldn't have all the fun!

11:30am - Book signing and make a seed ball activity with Dani Carlin

12:00pm  - Make watercolor bookmarks with Artist Beth Gable

1:00pm   - Butterfly Ornithopter demo and Book Signing with Dr. Fun of America's Fun science.

2:00 pm  - Book signing and meeting with Guy Brown - local TV Meteorologist

3:00pm   - Book signing and math games with Author Ben Orlin

4:00 pm  - Book signing and Cat Haiku reading by Lee Scholder
