What if more of our everyday trips could be made by bike?


Join us at the bookstore with Luke Van Santen from the West Metro Active Transportation Alliance (westmet.org) and Laura Mitchell from the Minnesota Cargo Bike Library (mcbl.bike) for a lively, practical conversation about bicycles as real transportation—not just recreation. We’ll explore how people are using bikes and cargo bikes to commute, run errands, carry kids and groceries, visit local businesses, and connect more closely with their communities.


Whether you already bike regularly, are cargo-bike curious, or simply want to imagine safer, more accessible ways to get around town, this event will offer ideas, inspiration, and space for conversation. Learn about the possibilities of everyday cycling, the benefits for families and neighborhoods, and how better biking infrastructure can support a more vibrant local community.
