What's Next Book Club - Mutual Aid

"What comes next?"

The steps we have taken as a society have brought us to this point in history. The Thinking Spot is organizing a new, monthly book club centered around answering the question, "What comes next?" As we continue to organize, build solidarity, and support our neighbors, how can we take the lessons of history and this moment, and build a better tomorrow together?

Part book club, part community of practice, we hope you will join us in answering these and related questions.

• We will meet once a month on the first Thursday of every month, starting on April 2nd 5:30-6:30PM at the Thinking Spot

• We will start with the book "Mutual Aid - Building solidarity during this crisis (and the next)" by Dean Spade

  • Later books will be chosen by the group, and may cover related topics including the commons, democratic governance, sociocracy, non-violence, cooperatives, local economy, etc.
