Brewing Better Coffee At Home

The Thinking Spot in collaboration with Coffee Studio Minneapolis is offering Coffee Workshops at the Spot throughout summer. Sign up for one or signup for all! Bring a friend or come by yourself and deepen your appreciation of coffee with each workshop!

We all enjoy drinking coffee at home and we can save money when we do but how can we make better coffee at home? This class is ideal for coffee enthusiasts who want to improve their coffee brewing skills. Mary will provide guidance on easy manual brewing techniques and the best coffee equipment for your home kitchen. We will select, grind and brew coffee together and taste what we brew. Attendees will take home a bag of coffee and a recipe card for brewing.

Mary Halbrooks loves teaching people about specialty coffee. Having spent many years in academia, Mary turned her long-time interest in horticulture to the coffee plant. She is a certified coffee taster and sensory trainer for the Specialty Coffee Association. In 2016 she launched her education and consulting company All Beans Considered and now offers classes and events locally under her Coffee Studio Mpls banner.
